Wicked, Sabrina Carpenter, SZA, Ariana Grande, Kira Kosarin and XO, Kitty were among the top winners at the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
Grammy Award-winning artist Tyla hosted the slime-filled awards ceremony Saturday night which saw the distribution of 5,000 gallons of the show’s signature green goo.
Carpenter won three awards, including favorite song, favorite female breakout artist and favorite album for Short n’ Sweet. Benson Boon also won favorite male breakout artist, SZA took home favorite female artist and Bruno Mars scored favorite male artist.
In the television categories, The Thundermans: Undercover won favorite kids TV show while XO, Kitty won favorite family TV show. Kosarin landed favorite kids female TV star for her role in Undercover and Xolo Maridueña won favorite family male TV star for Cobra Kai.
When it came to film, Wicked gained the win for favorite movie, while Jack Black won favorite movie actor for A Minecraft Movie and Grande won favorite movie actress for her role as Glinda in the big-screen adaptation of Wicked.
Other winners included the night’s host, Tyla, who nabbed the title of favorite global music star, MrBeast for favorite male creator and Simone Biles for favorite female sports star.
Black was presented with the “King of Comedy” Silver Blimp for his robust career in film, TV, music and more. Rihanna was another honoree of the night as she received the ICON Silver Blimp Award for her legendary beauty, music and activism work.
This year’s show featured skateboarding stunts by Tony Hawk and Katelyn West and musical performances by Machine Gun Kelly and KATSEYE, plus celebrity appearances by Malia Baker, Benny Blanco, Kylie Cantrall, Auli’i Cravalho, Terry Crews, Young Dylan, Brie Garcia, Maia Kealoha, Salish Matter, Kel Mitchell, Daniella Monet, Renee Montgomery, Victoria Monét, Leon Thomas and Alex Warren.
The 2025 KCAs also featured two live-vote categories, which saw YouTuber SeanDoesMagic go on the SpongeBob SquarePants Rock Bottom Plunge, which the audience voted for. Also, Samantha Lorraine and Jacob Rodriguez, from Dora and the Search for Dorado, went on an adventure around the KCA venue to find Dora’s missing backpack as viewers voted for it to be found on the orange carpet.
