Maharaj is on the global non-English top ten list and has become a huge hit on the OTT platform. It won hearts and people are loving how nicely and carefully the film has been made. The film is based on the Maharaj libel case and talks about the dark underbelly of sexual exploitation in certain spiritual groups. Apart from Junaid, the film also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Sharvari, Shalini Pandey and others. The film is directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and is Netflix and YRF Entertainment’s first film collaboration. Junaid Khan talks about Aamir Khan’s reaction to his debut film, Maharaj

The film has been loved by fans and critics. It did go through a lot of controversies but that has not affected the success of the movie. Junaid Khan plays the role of reformer and journalist Karsandas Mulji. He has been loved by many and are all praise for his acting skills. Junaid Khan spoke to BollywoodLife exclusively and opened up about his family’s first reaction to his debut film. He shared what his father, Aamir Khan, the perfectionist said about his work. He said, “They really liked the film. See, I don’t know about perfectionist but when papa watches a film, he watches it to enjoy it. He always wants to enjoy it. So, he really liked it. But mom is a tougher nut to crack. However, she also really liked the film. They were really happy.”

He also opened up about the reactions and the love he is getting for the film despite having no big promotions. He said, “It is very heartwarming. I am getting a bit used to it now.” Talking about his future projects, Junaid will next be seen with actor Khushi Kapoor. It is a romantic comedy and is an adaptation of the hit Tamil film Love Today.
