    Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2026: Full Winners List

    The final season of My Hero Academia was awarded the coveted anime of the year prize, and the massive global hit Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle took home film of the year award at the 10th edition of the Crunchyroll Anime Awards that took place on Saturday night in Tokyo, Japan.

    Organizers said a stunning 73 million anime fans around the world voted for this year’s Crunchyroll Awards, blowing past 2025’s record of 51 million, and another sign of the exponential growth of anime globally.

    Another pointer to the cultural impact of anime, superstar singer, and huge anime fan, The Weeknd presented the My Hero Academia team with their anime of the year prize. In total, the final season of the Bones Film’s show won four awards, including anime of the year, best ending sequence and best supporting character.

    Other global celebrities present at the awards and who walked the distinctive orange carpet included the Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA, Black Panther actor Winston Duke, Grammy-nominated artist Young Miko, Kpop artists BamBam and TEN, Japan actors Asuka Saito, Kasumi Arimura and Nanase Nishino, and Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna. The awards were hosted by Lauren Moore and Tim Lyu alongside YouTube creator Gigguk.

    Demon Slayer, Sony/Crunchyroll’s $781 million record-breaking box office monster, took home the most prizes, seven in total, but five of those were in the voice artitst performance categories for various languages. In the main categories, Demon Slayer took home the best score prize alongside the prestigious film of the year award.

    Season 2 of Toho Animation Studio/OLM’s The Apothecary Diaries won four awards, including best drama, best director and best main character for the dazzling protagonist Maomao.

    Bones Film’s adaptation of Kei Urana’s dystopian manga Gachiakuta received three important prizes, including best new series, best background art and best character design. A second season of the show is in the works.

    A-1 Pictures’ Solo Leveling, which was the big winner at the 2025 edition of the Crunchyroll awards, won two awards for its second season, including best action and best animation.
