Aamir Khan‘s elder son Junaid Khan has marked his acting debut. He has started with OTT as his first film titled Maharaj has released on Netflix. The movie that was suppose to release on June 14 faced a delay due to a legal trouble. The Vaishnav community from Gujarat had demanded a stay order on the film as the film is about Karsandas Mulji. However, the Gujarat High Court judge gave the film a green signal and it premiered on Netflix on June 22. Junaid Khan has received positive feedback for his acting chops and the young lad is quite happy with it.

To a new agency ANI, Junaid Khan commented on all the love that is coming his way post the release of Maharaj. The actor shared that Maharaj has been a ‘long and wild’ journey for him but in the end, all is well that end’s well. He was also quoted saying, “Maharaj was made with a lot of love, respect, and passion, and I’m glad that the film and my performance are striking a chord with the audience at large.” Junaid being humble is aware that he still has a long way to go and lots to improve. The actor mentioned that he hopes he gets the same kind of supportive cast and crew in his future endeavours that help him grow as an actor.

Maharaj is helmed by Siddharth P Malhotra and produced under the banner of YRF. Apart from Junaid Khan, the film also sees Jaideep Ahlawat in a pivotal role. Post its premiere, Junaid Khan’s sister Ira Khan took to her social media account to promote the movie. Aamir Khan’s ex-wife Kiran Rao too shared her excitement for Maharaj by sharing a post for the film on her Insta stories.
On social media, Maharaj has overall received only positive response. A lot of people have called this film as ‘must watch’. Junaid Khan has shown that he has the potential to become one of finest actors in the industry.
