The Drama has officially arrived. The A24 film, starring  Zendaya and Robert Pattinson, is now playing in theaters, drawing attention for its mix of romance, dark comedy and unexpected twists.

The story follows an engaged couple whose relationship begins to unravel just before their wedding, taking the film in a much different direction than its title might suggest. As audiences react to the film’s tone and storyline, many are already wondering how and when they can watch it at home.

Here’s everything to know about The Drama, including where to watch and when it could start streaming.

    What Is The Drama About?

The Drama follows a seemingly perfect engaged couple whose relationship begins to unravel just days before their wedding. What starts as a light, romantic setup quickly shifts after a shocking confession during a gathering with friends, sending their dynamic into emotional and psychological turmoil.

In a conversation with Interview Magazine, Pattinson raised a question that reflects the film’s themes: whether it’s possible to truly understand someone upon first meeting them. Zendaya responded, “Yes and no? People are layered and complex and they make mistakes. There are cultural differences. But there are also things that are just kind of, ‘Well, that’s rude. That’s mean,’” adding, “You can know someone for a long time and they can change, or you get to know them on a deeper level and you’re like, ‘Whoa. I didn’t see that side of you.’”

    Is The Drama Streaming Anywhere?

No — The Drama is not currently available to stream. The film was released exclusively in theaters on April 3, 2026, and is still in its theatrical run.

That means you can only watch it in theaters for now, with no subscription streaming option available yet.

When Will The Drama Be Available to Stream?

While an official streaming date hasn’t been announced, The Drama is expected to follow A24’s typical release pattern. Based on similar films, it could be available for digital purchase as early as May 2026, with a streaming release likely to follow a few months later.

A24 has a deal with HBO Max, meaning the film is expected to stream there first once it leaves theaters, potentially around late summer 2026.
