Megyn Kelly Slams Amy Poehler After Golden Globes Best Podcast Win

It seems Megyn Kelly doesn’t agree with the winner of the best podcast award at the 2026 Golden Globes.

Amy Poehler won the inaugural award at the ceremony Sunday night for her Good Hang podcast. However, not even 24 hours later, Kelly took to Monday’s episode of The Megyn Kelly Show to rip into the comedian and her interview-style podcast.

“Amy Poehler won. That’s no shock, they gave it to one of their own,” Kelly said. “Yeah, tracks. And it’s because she really has a really, really insightful podcast, which you really feel enriched after watching. I mean, I’ve never watched it, but this is what I hear, and when I watch the clips, I thought, ‘My God, what am I missing?’”

After showing a recent clip from the Good Hang podcast, with guest Gwyneth Paltrow, Kelly added in a sarcastic tone, “They’re so relatable. They have busy lives. They get tired earlier, just like you, stars like Gwyneth Paltrow, just like you. Riveting, right? Well, maybe she won because of her insightful interviews — no, wait, that wasn’t it, the preparation she does, perhaps.”

“Amy Poehler thought Gwyneth Paltrow was in Cold Mountain, which she wasn’t,” she continued. “They played it off, like it was hilarious. But the truth is, she didn’t show Gwyneth Paltrow the respect of actually understanding what her body of work is, recent body of work, for them to discuss. So that’s embarrassing and disrespectful, and that’s what wins you, yay, the award for best podcast.”

Good Hang beat out Armchair Expert With Dax Shepard, Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy, The Mel Robbins Podcast, SmartLess, hosted by Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes, and NPR’s Up First.

“I just want to say that I know I am new to this game. I have great respect for this form. I have great respect for all the people that I am nominated with. I’m big fans of all of you, except for NPR, just a bunch of celebs phoning it in. Try harder,” Poehler said during her acceptance speech at the 2026 Golden Globes.

Kelly, a former Fox News host, previously revealed that she withdrew her show from consideration for the new podcast category because she didn’t like the “choose me” aspect of awards shows, and thought “the whole thing was so bizarre” and “had zero interest in their stupid awards.”

The 2026 Golden Globes, hosted by Nikki Glaser, were held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday evening. Find the full list of winners here, and check out the night’s red carpet looks.
