Hyderabad police have filed a case of assault and harassment against Dimple Hayati, a well-known Telugu and Tamil film actress, and her husband for allegedly assaulting a domestic worker. According to reports, the domestic worker filed a police complaint alleging that Dimple and her husband not only withheld her wages but also attempted to assault her. The complaint was filed at the Filmnagar police station. The complainant, a resident of Odisha, stated that she was hired to help with household chores but has not received any payment to date. In her statement, the woman stated that Dimple and her husband constantly harassed and mistreated her. According to the complaint, she was falsely accused of negligence after their pet dog barked. The victim alleged that Dimple and her husband stripped her and tried to beat her, causing her severe mental trauma. Police have launched an investigation and are currently gathering evidence related to the incident.
