Kantara Chapter: 1, the actor-director Rishab Shetty’s next film, is scheduled for release on October 2. The actor recently travelled to Mumbai to promote the movie before its release. According to an IANS report, the 42-year old filmmaker talked candidly about his difficult years before becoming famous during the promotions. He disclosed that he had previously been employed in Andheri West as an office boy for a production banner.
What did Rishab Shetty say about his early struggles?
He shared, “Mumbai is extremely special for me because back in 2008, I used to work as an office boy for a production house in Andheri West. I was the driver of one of the producers, and today, with the power of cinema, I am sitting here, getting so much recognition, love, respect, and blessings.”
How Vada Pav helped Rishab Shetty survive?
The basic pleasures of living in the city, especially the street food that sustained him throughout those difficult years, were also recalled by Rishab Shetty. “We used to have Vada Pav on the streets of Andheri West and never thought I would make it here. Cinema, which we see as God, being an artist has brought me here today, and I am grateful for that,” he said.
Kantara Chapter 1 pre-release event cancelled
Meanwhile, the film’s pre-release event in Chennai has been called off, the makers recently stated. Following the devastating stampede in Karur that took several lives, the event, which was originally planned for Tuesday, September 30, was cancelled.
On social media, they wrote, “Due to the recent unfortunate incident, we are cancelling the ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ promotional event in Chennai tomorrow. Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected. Thank you for your understanding, we look forward to meeting our audience in Tamil Nadu at a more appropriate time.”
Kantara’s mystical forest will transport viewers to its deeply ingrained past in the upcoming film. Jayaram, Gulshan Devaiah, Rukmini Vasanth, and others play significant roles.
