Anshula Kapoor recently got eliminated from Karan Johar’s show – The Traitors. In an interview, she shared all about her ‘traumatic’ experience of being on the show.
Arjun Kapoor’s sister Anshula Kapoor stayed away from films despite hailing from a filmy background. But she recently marked her debut in a reality show as she participated in The Traitors. The show had almost 20 contestants being isolated in a Palace. The show streaming on Amazon Prime Video is a psychological game play about trust, betrayal and more. Anshula Kapoor was one of the contestants as she recently got eliminated from the show that is hosted by Karan Johar. In a recent interview, she called her experience of The Traitors ‘traumatising’ and mentioned that she got diagnosed with PTSD post the show.
Anshula Kapoor diagnosed with PTSD
In an interview with Quint, Anshula Kapoor shared that it was a stressful and ‘traumatising’ experience for her to live without any communication with the entire world. She called it an ‘extremely difficult’ show. She also mentioned that she was told that the show will stick to the original format, however, that did not happen. Anshula explained how the rooms were blacked out and there were no intercoms in order to communicate with anyone. In fact, she added that wind chimes were put up outside the door so that if anybody opens it when they are not supposed to, the makers get notified. With the entire experience, she shared that she had to go back to intensive therapy. Anshula Kapoor shared, “I had to go back into intensive therapy after the show, and I was diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.”

The Traitors that began on June 12 saw stars like Karan Kundrra, Raj Kundra, Maheep Kapoor, Mukesh Chhabra, Harsh Gujral, Uorfi Javed, Apoorva Makhija, Sufi Motiwala, Raftaar, Ashish Vidyarthi, Jannat Zubair, Jasmine Bhasin, Elnaaz Norouzi, Purav Jha and many others as the contestants of the show.
