Billie Eilish is taking on new management, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The global superstar has enlisted veteran talent manager Jason Owen, whose Sandbox Entertainment reps Kacey Musgraves and Kelsea Ballerini. Owen will be managing Finneas, Eilish’s brother and longtime producer, as well.

Eilish and Finneas had been represented by Danny Rukasin and Brandon Goodman of Best Friends Music Management for the past decade. The two played a key role in steering the singer’s ascent from viral sensation to award-winning artist, registering over 100 million Spotify subscribers and a string of top 10 hits during their time together, including the chart-topping “Bad Guy,” “Everything I Wanted,” “Therefore I Am” and “Birds of a Feather.”

Owen is a longtime music executive with roots in country. Launching Sandbox Entertainment back in 2010, after holding executive roles at Universal Music Nashville, Owen expanded his reach into television, film and Broadway, working on such projects as the 2023 documentary June, about June Carter Cash, the stage sensation Shucked and primetime drama Monarch. Owen has shared in Grammy, Emmy and Tony wins among his award accolades, but it’s his golden touch when it comes to managing female artists that have made Owen an industry standout beyond Nashville.

Eilish first came to prominence in 2015 with her viral single “Ocean Eyes,” which Finneas wrote. She became one of the world’s biggest superstars back in 2019 with her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, which swept at the Grammys back in 2020 as she won best new artist, album of the year, record of the year and song of the year.

She has remained one of the most seminal voices in music since then, winning the Grammy for record of the year the following year for “Everything I Wanted.” She followed up When We All Fall Asleep with the smash successes of her two subsequent albums Happier Than Ever and Hit Me Hard and Soft, which spawned hits including “Happier Than Ever,” “Therefore I Am,” “Birds of a Feather,” and “Lunch.”

Both of those albums were nominated for album of the year as well. “Happier Than Ever” and “Birds of a Feather” were both nominated for record and song of the year as well. Overall, Eilish has nine Grammys on 32 nominations, and Finneas has 10 wins on 21 nominations. She and Finneas also won two Oscars in 2022 and 2024 for best original songs for “No Time to Die” for the eponymous Bond film and “What Was I Made For” for Barbie.

Finneas is best known for his work with Eilish, having co-written and produced on most of his sister’s songs, though he’s also worked with artists including Justin Bieber, Tate McRae, Halsey and Selena Gomez. He co-wrote and co-produced “Scared of Loving You,” the lead single for Gomez and Benny Blanco’s just-released collaborative album I Said I Love You First. Finneas has also released two solo albums: 2021’s Optimist and last year’s For Cryin’ Out Loud!

Among the greater Eilish team, the sentiment is that of a somber parting, but there remains great respect and appreciation for the tremendous successes, milestones and memories shared with Rukasin and Goodman.

Eilish is currently prepping for the European leg for the Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour, which is slated to start in Stockholm next month.
