Zach Braff — writer, director, soundtrack producer and star of the cult-classic film — helped fans relive early 2000s magic Saturday night at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. Filled with loads of surprise guests, including Braff’s Garden State co-star Natalie Portman, the sold-out concert reunited the beloved artists behind the movie’s Grammy Award-winning compilation soundtrack, an album that cemented indie-rock superstars, most notably, The Shins.
The “New Slang” singers were joined by Iron & Wine, Frou Frou, Colin Hay, Thievery Corporation, Remy Zero, Cary Brothers, Bonnie Somerville, Sophie Barker from Zero 7 and more to perform the film’s nostalgic soundtrack. Proceeds from the event are benefiting The Midnight Mission. And while Garden State: The 20th Anniversary Concert was technically a one-night-only show, fans can stream the live performance on Veeps on April 6.
Veeps is a streaming platform that offers access to live and on-demand concerts. Tickets for the anniversary concert, streaming on veeps.com on April 6 at 9 p.m. ET, are currently on sale for $19.99. Proceeds from streaming ticket sales also benefit The Midnight Mission.
