Pritish Nandy takes on Bhai
The actor being discussed is none other than Salman Khan, who was slammed for criticising Bigg Boss 14 contestants Rubina Dilaik and Nikki Tamboli. In 2021, Pritish Nandy showed no qualms in mocking Salman Khan’s opinion on Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 14. Pritish showed no inhibitions in calling Salman, who was hosting the popular reality show, a ‘misogynist’ for mocking Rubina Dilaik and Nikki Tamboli
“Watching @BiggBoss I find @BeingSalmanKhan often very tough on @RubiDilaik and @nikkitamboli my favourite contestants. This influences viewers, many of them Salman’s blind bhakts. C’mon Salman, don’t be a misogynist,” Pritish Nandy had posted on X.
For the unversed, Salman had mocked Rubina for ‘overreacting’ to Rakhi Sawant pulling the drawstring of Abhinav Shukla’s shorts. Salman not only said that Rakhi wasn’t wrong in her act, but also mentioned that Abhinav had benefitted from her ‘entertaining’ actions. Irked by Salman’s opinion, Abhinav said he didn’t want any benefit from Rakhi’s actions“If this is entertainment, I want to go home right now,” he had said.
Salman had also taken a dig at Nikki and held her responsible for being ‘badtameezi’. Salman claimed that she had shown disrespect towards every contestant in the house and journalists who came on the show. “Dekho, badtameezi ke alawa hume yahaan par toh koi quality nazar aa nahi rahi hai,” Salman had told her.
Pritish Nandy passes away at 73
Poet, journalist Pritish Nandy passed away on December 8 at the age of 73. Actor Anupam Kher condoled his demise on social media while Nandy’s son filmmaker Kushan Nandy confirmed his death to media. Pritish Nandy popular as a journalist, poet, film producer and he was also a former Rajya Sabha member. He was also known for producing some critically acclaimed films like Pyaar Ke Side Effects, Meerabai Not Out, Ugly Aur Pagli, Shaadi Ke Side Effects and Jhankaar Beats.
