It is Parineeti Chopra, indeed! Sister of Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti marked her debut with Ladies vs Ricky Bahl. It starred Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma. The film made decent business at the box office. Parineeti’s biggest hit was Ishaqzaade. It was her second film and marked the debut of Arjun Kapoor. Their chemistry was much loved by all. Post Ishaqzaade, she was seen in Shuddh Desi Romance along with Sushant Singh Rajput. The cute love story was a hit. Her fourth film was Hasee Toh Phasee with Sidharth Malhotra that also received a good reviews from all. Post this, her downfall began. Her movies like Daawat-E-Ishq, Namaste England, Kill Bill and more did not work well at the box office. Even the biggies like Kesari in which she was seen with Akshay Kumar failed to impress the audience. The major blockbuster hit that Parineeti Chopra managed to strike is Golmaal Again with Ajay Devgn.
The actress then took a hiatus. She returned with The Girl on the Train in 2021 but it was met with negative reviews. She collaborated with Arjun Kapoor again for Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar but their magic did not work this time.
While Parineeti Chopra’s movie did not work at the box office over the years, in recent times, she achieved massive success on OTT with her film Chamkila that also starred Diljit Dosanjh. Her role of Amarjot Kaur was much appreciated.
