International global star Priyanka Chopra shared the screen space with Bobby Deol in Barsaat which was released back in 2005. Well, the film had Akshay Kumar in the lead role. Yes, you read that right! Barsaat director Suneel Darshan recently revealed that Akshay had to walk out of the film after Twinkle Khanna left him. Later, Bobby came on board. During a recent conversation on Friday Talkies, Suneel was asked about his 2005 released film, Barsaat. The director said he recalled that originally, Akshay Kumar was the lead, but as the film began, he faced some ‘ajeeb sa problem (a weird problem)’ with his wife, Twinkle. The veteran filmmaker shared that the film was started with Akshay and Priyanka Chopra and was supposed to be shot in one schedule. After five days of shoot, before the schedule, Akshay called him for a meeting and the director got to know that something was wrong. Well, Darshan got a call from Bobby Deol’s manager requesting him to make a film with the star. The director asked him to wait. Darshan said that Akshay walked out of the project as ‘Kuch blunder aise ho chuke the (He did some blunders)’. This news is all over entertainment news. The director said, ‘Some rumors about Priyanka Chopra and Akshay Kumar started doing the rounds, and Twinkle had left his home. As an actor, you have to be responsible. If your wife has been an actress, she knows everything about the industry, and she has also worked with all the big stars. She knew everything’. Well, he clarified that he did not blame Priyanka responsible for the situation and said that the actress was ‘doing what was in her own interest’ and also said that the men who should be more responsible. The director also revealed that Khiladi promised to collaborate with him on their next movie. The director then called Bobby’s manager and the actor was then cast to play the role alongside Priyanka. The director also said that he then signed a 3-film contract with Deol which prohibited him from working on anything else. The actor agreed with the condition.
