Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan are one of the most popular couples in the Bollywood industry. Abhishek had revealed that he observes the Karva Chauth fast for his wife, Aishwarya. In a tweet, Abhishek encouraged other husbands to keep fast for their wives. Abhishek took to Twitter in 2018 and wrote, ‘#KarvaChauth, good luck ladies…. And the dutiful husbands who should also be fasting with their wives! I do.’ In an interview earlier, Abhishek had said, ‘I don’t believe in it (Karva Chauth), but if my wife is doing something for my health, then it is my duty to be with her. That’s why I will be flying to be with my wife.

Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have been religiously and wholeheartedly keeping fast for each other every year. In 2013, when Abhishek Bachchan was out of India for professional commitments and his wife Aishwarya kept Karva Chauth fast for him. The two had a Skype call with father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan and mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan.
Amitabh Bachchan even tweeted saying, ‘Abhishek out of the country on shoot .. so face of husband seen through Skype, for Karvachauth by Aishwarya .. what times we live in!!’ and Abhishek wrote, ‘My 1st Karwa Chawth away from the Mrs. Thank god for Facetime!’
